Friso Langen

Friso studied Medical Biology in Utrecht, The Netherlands. He held various sales, marketing and access positions within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry. Over the years he has specialised in market access (reimbursement and launch readiness) activities for The Netherlands and Belgium, with an affinity for specialty medicines/orphan medicines and rare diseases. For this he has been working as an independent consultant within Fletiopharma Consultancy since 2012. He has successfully led reimbursement processes and launch preparations for various pharmaceutical companies, with a great of attention for constructive communication with the experts, centers of expertise and relevant professional societies.

He has continuously embraced new reimbursement procedures, such as BeNeLuxAI, Parallel Procedure and Conditional Reimbursement (Voorwaardelijke Toelating, VT), while providing valuable feedback to the authorities. Recently he took care of the Benelux country management for a customer for the period needed to get the orphan drug reimbursed in the Netherlands and Belgium and to effectively launch the product. Friso has gained extensive experience in developing home care programs in both countries.

Friso combines his medical scientific skills with strong communication with all stakeholders within the reimbursement process. He also has a good understanding of the various business processes within the pharmaceutical and medical device industry, which is crucial in an advisory role for product launches.

Friso’s mother tongue is Dutch. He speaks fluently English and is also able to communicate in German and French.
